Underground Shift Supervisor

Working for an internationally renowned gold mining company there is now an opportunity to take your extensive skills and experience and work in Africa.
Together with the project manager you will spend your time training national workers, supervising your crew and ensuring that production and efficiency targets are met.
It is essential that you have extensive underground mining experience with a thorough knowledge of specific underground equipment operations and the ability to effectively train others in this use. You will be patient when dealing with communication barriers and be excited at the idea of immersing yourself in a new culture.
It will be expected that your experience is specific to underground resource mining as no other experience will be considered. Supervisory experience in the same industry will also be very important in the selection process.
Working on an 8 week on 4 week off roster you will be given the chance to explore the country or to be flown back to Australia on your R & R.
A major understanding of safety practises and principals is essential as you will be a ringleader in setting the highest possible standards and passing this knowledge onto your crew.
An immediate start is on offer and a generous salary is provided for the right person.
