The Chef de Cuisine role is instrumental in the continuing success of the hotels’ award winning signature seafood restaurant. With a total of 11 unique restaurants, poolside dining and two concept bars, the signature restaurant is viewed as the most exciting and trend setting outlet. The successful candidate will bring experience with a variety of restaurants and culinary styles, possessing originality and creativity. You will be flamboyant and highly personable with a desire to make a name for both yourself and the restaurant. This role reports to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef and will have approximately 8 direct reports. Your mission will be to attract new business and warmly welcome back repeat customers not only for the outstanding food but also the exceptional overall dining experience, which will be enhanced by your personality and interaction.

To be successful in this role, the following requirements are essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine
  • Luxury 5 star hotel or Michelin Star restaurant experience
  • Exposure to modern fine dining trends, in particular within seafood and/or Mediterranean cuisine
  • Worked in at least 2 different countries, preferably within Europe, Australia, Middle East or Asia
  • Certification in intermediate or advanced food hygiene and working in a HACCP certified kitchen operation
  • Previous exposure in the media or great potential to be profiled from a public relations perspective
