Senior Acoustic Engineer

    Renzo Tonin & Associates is a well-established Engineering Consultancy firm providing specialist design and consultancy services in the fields of noise and vibration. The Architectural & Building Acoustics Team is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team full time at our Sydney office. The role involves noise and vibration measurements in the field, computer modelling, calculations, design, client liaison and report writing.

    The Architectural & Building Acoustics Team services are most often required for buildings such as residential structures of all types including apartment buildings, hotels, villas, town houses, student accommodation. The Team also provides acoustic services for commercial and industrial buildings of all types, places of worship, theatres, opera houses, concert halls, educational buildings including classrooms, lecture halls, libraries and music & practice rooms.

    The Architectural & Building Acoustics Team covers such diverse activities as residential building acoustics design, mechanical plant noise and vibration, sound isolation between residential tenancies, BCA issues, workplace noise and auditorium acoustics design.

     

    The successful candidate should have:

    • A tertiary degree in engineering
    • Notable experience in Building Acoustics
    • Strong communication skills
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Effective organization skills
    • An ability to cope with routine and challenging projects
    • A high level of computer literacy
    • A current drivers licence
    • Prepared to work some unsociable hours, if required
    • Basic knowledge in Construction
