Administrative Officer - Training & Accreditation

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand is seeking to appoint an Administrative Officer to join its Education Unit.

Reporting to the Manager, Training and CME, this position will be responsible for providing quality administrative support associated with the College’s Training and Accreditation process. Duties include, but are not limited to the provision of advice in relation to Training and Accreditation to relevant stakeholders, coordination of various Accreditation Visit activities ranging from pre - visit preparation to assisting with submission of the final Accreditation report; communication and event coordination, support to relevant Training Committees, trainee data entry and associated reporting, and maintenance of the Accreditation section of the College website.

Working closely with the Training team, this position will contribute to the continuous improvement of training information systems. We are seeking an experienced administration professional to be part of team working towards improved outcomes in the training of psychiatrists bi nationally.
 

The successful candidate will demonstrate;

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in administration/Education and/or experience in a education/administration role
• Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
• Experience in committee support and an understanding and appreciation for roles and function of committees with members contributing on a pro bono basis
• Excellent time management skills including the ability to plan, organise, set priorities and to meet tight deadlines, with the flexibility to alter priorities to meet changing demands
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite is essential
• Ability to develop, implement and review new procedures
• An understanding of membership organisations is desirable
• Willingness and ability to travel interstate and New Zealand to coordinate and / or participate in Accreditation Visits
